DIY Goth Fashion

Convergence 27

August 8 – 11, 2025

Room A (Georgetown) | Saturday | 1:45 pm – 2:45 pm | Workshop fee $20

Join Saraphina of TERRAPHINA for a clothing reconstruction session. Create customized clothing and accessories from the byproducts of fast fashion. Boldly cut, pin, and sew to design your own look with a non-binary minimalist sensibility.

Upcycling is the art of reusing surplus clothing to reduce waste and support conscious consumption. Align your wardrobe with a minimal global footprint. Make something new that’s completely you.

Projects include making arm protectors with thumb holes, uniquely shaped tops, skirts, or versatile hip shawls and head wraps.

Note: This is a paid workshop with a $20 cash fee due at the door.

Saraphina Mesmer

Saraphina Mesmer is the creator of TERRAPHINA, an upcycled clothing line that transforms the byproducts of fast fashion into one-of-a-kind, made-to-measure pieces.

A belly dancer and yoga guide by day, she finds inspiration in the movement and mystique of the goth club scene by night—where new silhouettes and forms are born. Each TERRAPHINA design breathes new life into surplus garments, reimagining them with artistry, intention, and soul.
